JTA Hometown Repairs is run by Joel Torres out of Scotts Valley. The idea is simple: homeowners here should be able to call one local person who can frame a wall, hang and finish the sheetrock, paint it, and then build the deck outside, without juggling three contractors who never talk to each other.
Houses in Santa Cruz County come with their own challenges: redwood framing that has moved over the decades, steep lots that need retaining walls and steps, decks that sit in shade and fog most of the year. We work in these conditions every day and plan for them from the start.
Every job starts with an on-site visit and a written estimate, and ends with a walkthrough together. Clients who come back for another project get 15% off, and most of our work comes from those repeat calls and their referrals.
